Special Clinic at WRAMC for Men with Prostate Cancer The Center for Prostate Disease Research (CPDR) at Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC) has a special clinic for men diagnosed with prostate cancer called the “Multi-Disciplinary Prostate Cancer Clinic”. What is the purpose of the clinic? To provide men (and their families) with information about their prostate cancer so they can make an informed decision on the best treatment for them. Who is eligible to attend? Military health care beneficiaries who are diagnosed with prostate cancer and have not yet made a treatment decision. Why is it called “Multi-Disciplinary”? The clinic is convenient and comprehensive by bringing everyone together on one day. What happens in the clinic? Each man (and their family) attending the clinic has 4 private consultations: At the end of the clinic, a physician meets with each man privately to discuss the treatment (or treatments) that the medical team recommends. How do I get into the clinic? An appointment is required. (There is a maximum of 6 men for each clinic). Self-referrals are accepted. Call CPDR at 202-782-4000 for more information or to make an appointment. When and where is the clinic conducted? The clinic is held on Mondays at WRAMC at the Center for Prostate Disease Research on Ward 56, 5th floor. It starts at 0730 and ends at 1430.
