CPT Joseph Sterbis Wins Resident Prize
64th Mid-Atlantic Section of AUA 2006 Meeting October 12-15, Washington, DC

CPDR is pleased to announce that CPT Joseph Sterbis, MC, USAMAJ Urology Resident, WRAMC/CPDR won the second prize for the Resident Research presentation essay Competition at the Mid-Atlantic Section of the American Urology Association. The award was presented to him at the 64rd Annual Meeting of the AUA in Capital Hilton Washington DC. In his podium presentation, Dr. Joe Sterbis was recognized for his exciting findings on the quantitative analysis of tissue PSA expression levels and its clinical correlations in the Resident Prize Assays category. CPT Joseph Sterbis, MC, USA conducted his research in the CPDR laboratory under the direction of Drs Shiv Srivastava and Gyorgy Petrovics.

Abstract
The CPDR mission is fulfilled primarily through its three principal programs – the Clinical Research Center, the Basic Science Research Program and the National Multicenter Prostate Cancer Database– and through a robust education and training program that operates out of its Headquarters location, the Clinical Research Center, and the original laboratories at USUHS. CPDR is also committed to patient outreach, primarily through its affiliation with the WRAMC US TOO! organization and through a heavy schedule of health fairs in which it participates.
