CPDR and its programs are composed of world-class leaders with diverse perspectives and solid experience. Currently, our leaders identify and and implement the best governance practices and procedures that will be used to help set high standards for research practices and ethics throughout the organization.

The mission of CPDR leadership is to promote the long-term value and set an ethical "tone at the top". To this end, our leadership provides CPDR personnel with strategic guidance, and also ensures that management adopts and implements procedures designed to promote the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and ethics throughout the organization.

Colonel David G. McLeod, M.D., is the Director of CPDR, Chief of Urologic Oncology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, DC and Professor of Surgery at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Bethesda, MD. Doctor McLeod is also Director of the Urology Residency Program at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Clinical Professor in the Department of Surgery (Urology) at Georgetown University Medical Center.
Shiv Srivastava, Ph.D.

Dr. Shiv Srivastava is the CPDR Co-Director and Scientific Director of the Center for Prostate Disease Research (CPDR) and a Professor in the Department of Surgery at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU) in Bethesda, MD. He has been a faculty member at USU since 1989 and prior to that was a faculty member of the Georgetown University-Lombardi Cancer Center (1987-1989).
Norbert Stingle, MHA

Administrative Director

In 1997, Mr. Stingle became the Administrative Director for the CPDR program at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Tasked with the responsibility of expanding the CPDR cancer research effort, he spearheaded the procurement of additional space and three major renovation projects.
Stephen Brassell, M.D.

Major Stephen A. Brassell, M.D., is the assistant Director of CPDR, Urologic Oncologist at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, DC and Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Bethesda, MD. His professional training includes attending medical school at Georgetown University, residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, and fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
